There are several ways that partners support Rimonim financially, helping to pay for Aurora's time, and incidental costs of the project.
We ask member synagogues to contribute $3000-$500. It's important that at least some partners pay above the bottom of the scale.
Havurim and small organizations or groups are asked to pay $500-$150.
FUNDRAISING AND LABOR
Potential partners can also fund their membership by:
Partner organizations take part in in-depth conversations about the liturgy you dream of: what needs current liturgy isn't meeting, what you wish existed that doesn't yet, what excites you, what parts of the liturgy you really wish someone would replace. Jews of Color and Indigenous Jews will have separate as well as joint opportunities to weigh in. Partners can do their own research into particular themes, prayers or rituals that you're especially excited about having me tackle, giving me raw material to work with.
There will be partner videoconference meetings, a members-only online discussion group and regular updates.
While partners don't co-author or determine the content of my writing, you'll be collaborators, and I will be your poet-in-residence.
First and foremost, you get your own poet-in-residence to work with your group to create beautiful new liturgy that rises to the times we live in, centers Jews of Color and Indigenous Jews (people indigenous to the Americas who are also Jews,) and responds to a host of other social justice concerns.
